I got a haircut today at Great Clips. In my area, a standard haircut costs $21 before tip, but I had a $3-off coupon so it was $18 today. I usually tip $7 because that's the middle of the three suggested tip amounts. So today I paid $25 out the door.
It's interesting the things you come across online when you wake up in the middle of the night. For some reason at 2:30am today, my half-conscious-but-apparently-not-tired-enough-to-sleep brain decided to search Startpage for “boycott Twitch” and discovered there is an actual Amazon boycott starting today. I took that as a sign. I'm joining the boycott. I won't be streaming on Twitch this week.
Pharmaceutical companies being allowed to market directly to consumers has resulted in a lot of ... creativity ... in the names they come up with for medications. Most of them are pretty weird, and I wonder how they come up with them. Do they come from the minds of their marketing team? Do they have software they've created or paid for to come up with these?
